Tlatilco 'Pretty Lady', Central Mexico, 1000-500 BC

Pre-classic terracotta figurine of a standing woman with the characteristic wide hips. The head shows high swung eyebrows, recessed and pierced eyes and mouth, a combed lock on the elongated forehead.

Tlatilco is the earliest culture in Central Mexico.

Arms and feet missing, otherwise of excellent condition. Surface with traces of red and white pigment.
