Protosumerian Amulet, Djemdet Nasr Period, Early 3rd Millennium BC

Calcite amulet in the shape of a miniature mace with three stylized heads. The eyes rendered with drilled holes, the faces framed with incised lines.

Djemdet Nasr is a Mesopotamian site located north-east of Babylon and Kish.

Two heads partially worn.
