Egyptian Two Color Bes Amulet, Late Period, 712-332 BC

Wearable greenish-blue Bes amulet with black detailing. The leonine head pierced horizontally below the feather headdress; one plume and the eyes tinted black.

Bes was a very popular deity in Egyptian times and considered a protector of pregnant women and young children.

Intact and of fine condition.
