Western Anatolian Kilia Head, Early Bronze Age II, 2700 to 2500 BC

Unusual marble female head with a high, pointed crest arch, the planes of the face joining to form a nose.

Interesting early idol generally referred to as a 'star gazer' figure.

Broken at the neck level. Surface preserving its ancient polish. Back side with incrustations.
