Middle Corinthian Oinochoe, around 600 BC

Broad-bottomed vessel decorated with two panthers facing each other, two grazing ibexes  and a third feline between them.

The decorated area reminds of the style of the Elvehjem Painter.

Intact except for a missing shard out of the trefoil spout. The black glaze is delicate and worn, the incisions on the animals and the ornaments are however neat and clearly visible.

H. to handle 15.5 cm (6.1 in), D. 13.5 cm (5.3 in)
