Umbro-Etruscan Figure of Herakles, Late 5th Century BC

Bronze figurine of Herakles striding in a lively attitude with the lion-skin over his extended left arm. The fragmentary inserted club in his wielding arm.

Mannered style with long spider-like limbs. The small head with large eyes and deeply grooved hairdo.

Museum quality and condition. Superb patina with minor flaking at the elbows and the knees.
