Tarentine Tanagra Head of a Woman, ca. 300 BC

Detailed facial features modeled in diminutive scale. The round head with serene expression, a Venus fold just below the chin enhances the very long neck.

Tip of the nose chipped. A ribbon around the upper head is missing. Remains of red pigment on the melon hairdo; bun at rear missing.
