Egyptian Terracotta Figure of Priapos, 2nd Century BC

Priapos standing in graceful pose, clad with a cloak he is pulling up to show his naked lower body. A hole on the belly to insert a large penis.

The ithyphallic god of fertility wears a veil crowned by a modius or calathos.

The heavily bearded Silenos-type head with a protruding forehead, delicate features – the tiny mouth framed by a thick moustache.

Made from two halves, excellent modeling and preservation. A tiny chip out of the forehead.
