Egyptian Green Faience Shabti, Late Period, ca. 400 BC

Mummyform shabti wearing a tripartite wig and a false beard. The crossed hands holding pick and flail. A small seed bag suspended over the figure’s left shoulder.

The shabti is standing on a pedestal and provided with a rudimentary back pillar.

From the same workshop as lot no. 347 offered by Jean-David Cahn in his June 2000 auction.

Intact, surface slightly worn. Neat incisions for the agricultural implements.
