Graeco-Egyptian Alabastron, 6th/5th Century BC

Carved alabaster vessel of tapering form with vestigial lug handles, incurved shoulder, short neck and flared rim.

The type is well represented during the Persian dominated 27th dynasty in Egypt, but also known throughout the Mediterranean basin.

Intact. Good condition with slight surface wear in places. Reddish soil deposits.
