Daunian Oinochoe, Subgeometric II, 550-400 BC

Large biconic vase with bulbous belly and flat base. The rim is pinched to a trefoil mouth. A strap handle from rim to shoulder.

The body with red and black bands, within a frieze of diamonds, some with crosshatch other with central cores.

The contoured rim with short strokes inside, bird’s feet looking down the pinched area on the outside.

Intact. Added colors slightly worn in places. Craze on the neck fixed.
