Egyptian Isis-Demeter on a Throne, Roman Period, 200-250 AD

Rare portrayal of the enthroned Isis-Demeter with a floral wreath and grain ears arranged  across her chest.

The goddess is holding a torch (?), a small bag is suspended from her left wrist.

The head shows chubby features, beady eyes and purse lips. The Severan style hairdo with a nimbus behind and topped by the solar disk between cow’s horns.

Broken below the knees. Back side missing. Cheek and jaw chipped off.
