Egyptian Funerary Cone of Djehuty-Nefer, 18th Dynasty, 1570-1293 BC

Very rare cone of Djehuty-Nefer reading: (1) The king’s scribe, (2) the overseer of the treasury, Djehuty-Nefer, (3) his wife, the lady of the house, Mery.

This is the third Djehuty-Nefer with the title overseer of the treasury. The location of his tomb is unknown.

The cone is unattested with Davies/Macadam, but registered as cone A.07 with Vivó/Costa 1998. Only one example is known in a Geneva private collection.

Good condition with some clearer hieroglyphs as on the Geneva example. Surface slightly worn in places and remains of white and red pigment. Point missing.

D. broadest 7.4 cm (2.9 in)
L. 7.6 cm (3 in)
