Northern Greek Bronze Pectoral, Geometric Period, ca. 725-675 BC

Large bronze neck piece of triangular form with slightly raised rectangular collars and tapering hooked terminals.

The front embellished with carefully incised and stamped ornament. A large wheel enclosing a rosette at center, the zones between the petals stippled.

Stamped concentric circles evenly distributed in the remaining field, all enclosed within a double border of hatched triangles.

Intact, fine condition. Blue-green patina lightly cleaned on the from to reveal the decoration.
