Etruscan or Italic Terracotta Bull, 5th/4th Century BC

Experienced representation of a vigorous hand-modeled bull.

The triangular forehead with a vertical groove, the ears barely set off from the short horns, the tail skillfully set around the croup.

One leg missing, otherwise intact with slightly abraded surface. Organic soil deposits in places. Nice example.
