Attic Red-figure Cup by the Group of Brussels A 156, 375-350 BC

Attic stemless cup decorated with a draped youth holding a staff and standing in front of an altar. Ivy with berries around the inside rim.

On the outside of the bowl couples of youths with volutes and palmettes near the handles.

This cup is by the same hand as the name vase of the Group of Brussels A 156. Beazley identified only two cups of this group stating their closeness to the Group of Vienna 116. For the vases cf. Small shard reattached, otherwise pristine. Sintered areas on the outside.
