Greek Hellenistic Eros Head, 2nd Century BC

Appealing head of Eros rendered with girl-like features.

The head with heavy-lidded eyes, a broad nose and sensuous lips. The richly curled hairdo falls down the left side of the head.

The young god has put his right arm over the head and may hold a flower. The button of a garment close to the neck.

Superb modeling with much use of the modeling tool.

Broken at the armpit level, back side missing. The nose is worn and looks flat.
