Western Greek Votive Head, ex Cahn, around 500 BC

Greek protome with nicely rendered late archaic features.

The veiled female head is showing small almond-shaped eyes, a prominent nose and lips drawn into a slight archaic smile.

The finely combed hairdo is topped by a polos-like crown.

Intact and fine. A small hole for suspension on the front top.

H. 10.7 cm (4.2 in), H. with stand 16.5 cm (6.5 in)
