Greek Terracotta Figure of an African, 2nd-1st Century BC

Interesting figure of a kneeling man with black African features.

The naked man leans forward a little and looks thoughtful. He shows a furrowed brow, receding hairline and puffed up hair.

Nice anatomic detail of the upper body. Right arm missing, a garment covers the partially preserved left.
 
Superb modeling. Old collection's tag on the back.

Fragmentary, superbly modeled and rare.
