Etruscan Black-glazed Kantharos, Around 200 BC

Elegant Etruscan kantharos of rounded bowl, the vertical handles with thumb rests and protruding spurs.

Standing on a neatly crafted stepped base.

Covered all over with a black gloss that retains its metallic bluish sheen on the inside.

Intact and fine, craze along the body fixed, small infill at the rim. Well preserved lustrous gloss on the inside.
