Attic White-ground Skyphos in Silhouette Technique, 500-480 BC

The white-ground frieze is decorated with dancing satyrs between palmettes.

Series of tiny dots in the field to imitate an inscription. Lively style, cursory rendering.

The flared rim and handles with black glaze. A reserved band below the ground line. Concentric circles below the base.

Reconstituted from four fragments. White ground partially preserved.
